The funny green laser.
I have purchased a number of great Laser Pointer from lasereshop, so it was no surprise that this combination Green
Laser Sight/Illuminator was a well built piece of equipment when I inspected it upon arrival. It is a fairly large
item, measuring right at 6" long, so you will need a good amount of rail space on the firearm that you attach it to,
and a minimum of four rail slots. I attached mine to a Hi-Point 995TS Carbine, and it tightened down nice and solid.
Just make sure that you leave enough room at the rear to be able to access the push button, or to screw the cap off
to put a fresh battery in, without first having to remove the unit from your rail.

Pros:
The high powered laser is very intense and works equally well as a Sight Designator and Illuminator. As stated in
the listing, no battery is included, so you will need to pick up a CR123A battery. I purchased two rechargeables by
the brand name Earthshine, and used the included battery charger to charge them. The charger worked great. This is a
high drain item, so rechargeable batteries are the way to go. You can focus the green beam from pinpoint, all the
way up to a flashlight sized beam. The beam is easily seen in full daylight, and is very bright in the dark of
night. I was able to illuminate a house on the next street over, nearly 100 hundred yards away with no problem. The
green light is much less harsh than your typical white LED white light. You don't get the typical splash out of
white light side to side like with a typical flashlight, but it illuminates very nicely just what is within the
confines of the green beam.

The pressure switch that comes with this 200mw green laser actually works... that too is a nice change. However, you
need to do a bit of work first, before you can use it; the sight only comes with one end cap, so you have to gently
punch the push-button actuator out of the end cap, and then replace it with the pressure cap's actuator. I used the
round end of a metal punch and gently tapped the push-button free with light taps of a small hammer on the punch...
only took a couple taps. The pressure switch's actuator sits loosely in the cap, but seats nicely once you tighten
the cap down on the unit (with battery installed).

Since I already have a pressure switch on my vertical grip (fingertip actuated), I spliced this Red Laser pressure
switch's wiring (removed the entire length of the coiled section) to my existing wiring, and applied liquid
electrical tape to seal the deal. My wiring runs through the quad rail and to the pressure switch on the grip -- and
it works perfectly. Nice clean look and feel without all that extra coiled wiring around red laser.

Since the elevation and windage turrets are finger controlled, zeroing at 25 yards took all of 2 minutes. Fantastic.
No slippage so far.
As a general condition comment -- the red laserI received was brand new, well packed, shipped quickly, and each part
inside of the retail carton has its own little section surrounded by foam that kept our unit safe during transit.
Nice done.
